For the end of censorship on Facebook

#FreeTheNipples, surely you should have already read or heard about this hashtag. It is a protest against censorship of nudity on Facebook and Instagram. This past Sunday (02/06), hundreds of people gathered outside Facebook's office in New York - calling for changes in social media policies.
In order to draw attention, men and women complained about the lack of criteria. The action was dubbed #WeTheNipple - # We The Mamamus, exposing their bodies and carrying posters of male nipples. Led by the artist Spencer Truck and the National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC), she was also supported by members of the women's rights group.
In its guidelines, Facebook argues that it is prohibited to use nudity within the social network. According to the rules "it can upset people in our community who are sensitive to this type of content". The same goes for Instagram.
Many photos are deleted, reported and accounts banned randomly without further explanation (as is the case of Bella da Semana). Why does nakedness of the female body seems to be so upsetting?
