Innovation: Meet the "Flying Uber"

Presented in a real prototype on Tuesday (11) at the Uber Elevate Summit 2019 - a conference with technology leaders in Washington, uberAIR is the next bet from Uber and Embraer. Scheduled for 2023, the electric drone will have capacity for 4 passengers reaching 300 km / h, in addition to being CO2 free.

Able to cross a distance of 40km in seconds, the hybrid species between airplane and helicopter does not waste a drop of fossil fuel. The idea is to produce an affordable aircraft - the operating figures have not yet been released. Also, it  reduces the problem of mobility in large cities, noise pollution (since its operation will be 100% electric), and it is sustainable and safe.

One of Embraer's major stakes in expanding operations beyond commercial aviation, EmbraerX was created to develop urban solutions. Headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, there are also units in Boston, Silicon Valley and integrated teams in Brazil. In addition, the company proposed an air traffic project to allow more aircraft in urban environments.
