Atari will build theme hotels

The Atari hotel chain will soon open in the United States, the establishments will be thematic and with several attractions.

Who does not remember the video games Atari, great classic of the 80's? Now the pioneer of games announced this Monday (27), the construction of eight hotels in the United States. The units will be present in Seattle, San Jose, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Austin and Denver.


The facilities will focus on the Atari brand and the video game universe. The hotels will also provide virtual reality experiences, an Atari playground, meeting rooms, bars, cinemas, restaurants, gyms and much more.

The hotels will be built in partnership with the GSD Group and True North Studio - which also has the Woz Innovation Foundation, the company of Steve Wozniak, co-creator of Apple. The external structure of the hotel forms the Atari logo, all other units will receive this conceptual architecture.



Atari will receive 5% of the total revenue from the partnership with the hotels, without participating in the execution and construction of the chain. The exact date of the inauguration is not yet known, but the launch should come out in 2020 in Arizona.
