Old car prices nowadays

What if old cars from the 70s, 80s and 90s were being sold today, how much would  them cost? 

We have the habit of saying that the values of cars here in Brazil are quite high. But the fact is that there was a time when the Real was worth US $ 1.5 Dollars - following the monetary update (and taxes) prices would be much higher. Check out the prices of vintage cars when they were first  launched:


The classic sports car Puma GT of 1970, used to cost NCz $ 22,310.00, which nowadays converting into Real would sell for about R $ 148,000.00.



Our darling Chevrolet Chevette was launched in 1980, it would have cost Cr $ 147,381.00, R $ 58,000.00 today.




A Fiat 147 from 1980 cost Cr $ 143,820.00, which today would be worth about R $ 56,700.00.




Ford Maverick in the SL version cost Cr $ 162,457.00, now it would cost R $ 64,000.0 for a common sedan.




The Volkswagen Passat cost the equivalent of Cr $ 211,877.00 when brand new . Today, it would average R $ 83,500.00.




And the darling Volkswagen Beetle couldn't be left out. At the time of its launch it cost Cr $ 540,000.00, converting for today's currency it would be around R $ 111,000.00.
