$ 40 whiskey is the best in the world

Among 4,500 shots evaluated, a Canadian Whiskey of just $ 40 was voted the best in the world by critic Jim Murray.
Famous whiskey critic Jim Murray releases the updated edition of the book “Whiskey Bible” every year - a complete guide to the main choices and bottles from previous years. Among more than 4,500 doses in 2020 alone, the Canadian winner was Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye.Sold for only US $ 40, Jim points out that due to the toasted rye notes the winner should be displayed at the Museum of Canada. This is the second time that a Canadian whiskey has won the title, the last one was in the year 2015 with Northern Harvest Rye, from Crown Royal.
With 65.1% ABV, all rye is produced in Calgary, in the province of Alberta. Second place went to Stagg Jr. Barrel Proof (from the Buffalo Trace family), in third place is Paul John Mithuna, a Whiskey from the distillery of Goa, a coastal state in India.
Incredibly diverse, whiskeys in the disputed category do not have to meet basic age or billing requirements - giving distillers the opportunity to compete for the award with assorted products. Unfortunately the best Whiskey in the World is not yet available in Brazil - it cannot be imported due to its high alcohol content.
