New Ducati Multistrada V4

Arriving at European dealerships this month, the New Ducati V4 reaches up to 170 hp and more torque in all revs.

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 was unveiled in Europe in the Multistrada V4 and Multistrada V4 S versions. Using the same architecture as the V4 Desmosedici Stradale, the engine leaves the demodrome control. The market launch scheduled for this month and the novelty promises to revolutionize concepts.

Due to the increase in the diameter of the cylinders, the capacity increased from 1,103 cm 3 to 1,158 cm 3. Its new configuration with springs gives the bike 170 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and torque of 12.7 kgf.m in 8,750 revolutions.

Adopting a new system, the new Multistrada V4 has longer intervals between services. For example, changing the oil every 15 thousand km and adjusting the valves every 60 thousand km.

The wheels have a rim 19 at the front and 17 at the rear in light alloy. The wheelbase is 1,567 mm, sport front and 24 kg more than the current Multistrada 1260S. The fuel tank capacity has been increased from 22 to 22 liters.

It also has unprecedented systems, one of which is the adaptive cruise control (ACC). It makes the bike maintain a constant distance and speed in relation to the vehicle in front. The blind spot detector alerts you to vehicles approaching at high speed. Both novelties are monitored by radars that were developed with Bosch.

It also has an inertial IMU control panel to manage ABS in curves, uphill start, traction control, anti-wheelie and power delivery modes. The Multistrada V4 has a TFT panel with a 5-inch screen, traction control, ABS brakes, LED headlights and collectible driving modes.

The intermediate is V4 S with spoked wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, face-to-face key and bidirectional quickshifter. The top of the line is the V4 S Sport, with carbon fiber fenders and Akrapovic exhaust. 

The suspensions are Marzochi, the brakes signed by Brembo with 320 mm double discs, radial calipers at the front and single disc at the rear. The other versions have Skyhook DS5 system.
