BMW i4: the first electric Gran Coupé

During its annual conference last Wednesday (17), BMW unveiled the new electric car with 590 km of autonomy.
The i4 sedan is the first all-electric Gran Coupé with a range of up to 590 kilometers. This is the second member of the BMW family of electric cars that is confirmed to arrive in Brazil at the beginning of 2022. The novelty starts to be sold in Europe later this year.

BMW has revealed that the i4 will be sold in different versions - with variants of the M Performance line up to 600 km (in WLTP standards) and up to 300 miles (EPA standard). The vehicle promises a performance with power up to 390 kW (530 horsepower), enough to accelerate the car from 0 to 100km / h in about 4 seconds.
During the presentation, the new multimedia system of the brand, the iDrive 8, was revealed. There will be two screens of 12.3 and 14.8 inches that form a huge screen, giving a modern and futuristic air.
According to the announcement, the idea is to guarantee a “balance between a sporting character, comfort and sustainable performance”. “With its sporty appearance, best-in-class driving dynamics and zero local emissions, the BMW i4 is a true BMW. This makes the heart of the brand now fully electric, ”said BMW AG board member Pieter Nota.
