Volvo launches XC40 Recharge electric

Volvo's first 100% electric vehicle can now be booked and starts to be delivered in September..
Volvo has announced that it will stop producing combustion cars from 2030. In a presentation held on Tuesday morning (18), the brand announced the pre-sale of the Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric. The compact SUV in the fully electric version arrives in Brazil in September for the price of R $ 389,950, in a first batch of 300 units.
Compared to other hybrids, the Volvo XC40 Recharge has a lower running height (211 mm to 175 mm) and measures 4.42 meters in length. The trunk has a capacity of 413 liters, while the SUV model has a small luggage compartment in the front of 31 liters.
The cabin receives a new panel with an information and entertainment system, with Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play. It also has an adaptive cruise, use of the voice assistant to control some functions and other features. The central screen is 9 inches, like a tablet.
Equipped with electric motors (one on each axle), totaling 413 hp and 67.3 kgfm of torque, the compact SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds and goes to 180 km / h. The 413 km autonomy for the WLTP cycle with one charge is provided by the 78 kWh battery pack.
The time required to recover the battery in a 150 kW fast charging station is 40 minutes. In a wallbox of 11 kW, the full charge in a little more than 7 hours, while in residential outlet the time is around 11 hours.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric reservation can now be made at the dealerships and digital channels of the brand.
