Elon Musk promises to launch Tesla Bot
Featured at the last Tesla A.l. Day, Elon Musk's company promises to build a humanoid robot by next year.
Announced last Thursday (19) during Tesla Al Day, Elon Musk unveiled his next big project: the Tesla Bot. With the promise of launch by next year, the robot will be based on the same technology as the brand's semi-autonomous vehicles. The humanoid will be able to perform repetitive tasks that are considered tedious for humans.
The idea is for it to be used to go to the market to shop, help with cleaning days, offices and manual effort. According to the head of Tesla, the robot will be 1.72 tall, 56 kg, will move at 8 km/h and will be able to lift up to 150 kg.
“Tesla is the biggest robotics company in the world because cars are semi-sensitive robots on wheels. So it makes a certain sense for it in humanoid form,” said Elon Musk during the event.

The Tesla Bot will be produced in black and white, will have five-fingered hands and will be “friendly”. "In any situation, you can run away from it and turn it off" - but we hope that never happens, joked Elon Musk.
Information and settings will be displayed through a screen embedded in the face of the humanoid robot. The body will be formed by cameras that feed a neural network with constant updates. Information such as battery and charging time has not yet been released.
The point is that robots are already present in cars, in Google Home, Alexa and even in elevators. But now the difference is that Elon Musk promised a real humanoid, with a sci-fi appearance. The promise is that the first Tesla Bot prototype will be presented by the end of 2022.
