Xiaomi Announces Smart Glasses

Discover Xiaomi's smart glasses that promise to change the way we see the world.

Xiaomi announced that it is developing a new pair of smart glasses. Combining an in-lens imaging system in conjunction with sensors, the wearable has functions such as web browsing, capturing photos, making calls, translating text, viewing maps and displaying notifications.

Still no release date and price, the Xiaomi Smart Glasses weighs just 51 grams. Using Micro-LED technology for backlighting, the monochrome screen has a maximum brightness of 2 billion nits.

"We need to build an interaction logic that 'does not disturb common usage, but displays important information in a timely manner'. xiaomi glasses The display chip measures 2.3mm x 2.02mm allowing it to fit into the eyeglass frame. It uses Optical Waveguide Technology, which refracts light through 180° to accurately transmit light beams to the human eye “through the microscopic grid structure of the optical waveguide lens”.

The camera has 5MP on the front, has speakers, dual beamforming microphones for answering calls and transcribing audio in real time. They have a touchpad, Wi-Fi, quad-core ARM processor, built-in battery and Android operating system.
