Ticketed fans will have free access during match days, via the Hayya Card or using the Hayya to Qatar 2022 app.

metrô doha“It was important for the project to relate to its context, to the city of Doha and to Qatar,” said Ben van Berkel, co-founder of UNStudio, a Dutch architectural firm that teamed up with the Qatari Department of Railway Architecture to create the seasons.

metrô doha“We wanted to merge Qatar’s past and future in one gesture, so we took inspiration from a number of traditional architectural elements in the country – particularly the arch – and tweaked that to create what we call ‘vaulted spaces,’” he continued. “So while the exteriors reference the monolithic force of ancient Qatari architecture, the interior spaces create an effect of light, movement and fluidity."
