Men's dress shirt: wear without mistakes

Indispensable in the men's wardrobe, the dress shirt is a piece for any occasion. Whether for a casual or more dressy style, some attention is needed in order to look stylish - correct size, model, collar, shoulders, cuffs, fabric and length. 

Here are some tips for choosing the perfect dress shirt. Check them out:

Waist

Try with your pants and belt, if left on the sides is a sign that it is too loose. If when you tuck  your shirt inside the pants and the buttons are pulling, it is because it is very tight. Choose something in between!! 

Size

Neither too wide nor too tight, the dress shirt should be comfortable. Open your arms and make sure there are no open spaces between the buttons and if the seams are straight. The torso should also be aligned, but without the tissue tugging.


Shoulder

One of the first things we should check! The seam should end exactly at the shoulder. Shirts with sagging shoulders and loose shoulders give the impression of poor posture. If it gets tight in this region, you will have sleeve and arm problems. 

Collar 

Following the other items, the collar should not be too loose or tight. At the time of purchase do the test with a tie. The ideal is to have the space of a finger between the shirt and your neck, enjoy testing with the last button of the shirt loose and then buttoned. 


Length 

The ideal length is up to half of the fly of your pants, if you go beyond you will get a sloppy image. The shirt should be the same length on all sides, so you can fit inside the pants more easily. 

Fabric

Cotton is undoubtedly the best fabric for a dress shirt, it fits well with all looks - whether in wearing it in your everyday routine, casual or more classic. In addition, it is extremely comfortable, lightweight and has great durability.
