Cadillac Celestiq: a luxury electric
With nearly 2 meters of screens, the Cadillac Celestic, General Motors' new symbol of the future, will exceed $300,000.Unveiled by Cadillac on Friday (22), images of the ultra luxurious electric sedan called “the most Cadillac ever produced'' were presented. The novelty was inspired by iconic models like the 1930's rV16 and the legendary 1957 Eldorado Brougham, which cost more than a Rolls-Royce.
The measurements have not yet been revealed, but it is expected that it will exceed 5 meters in length to fight with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8. According to Magalie Debellis, the brand's design manager, it is described as "the pure expression of Cadillac".
With production of just 500 units a year, the Celestiq will be handcrafted and will feature the body of a slender fastback sedan. Its long hood contrasts with hidden door handles. At the rear, two pairs of angled brake lights extend into the wheel arches.
On the outside, the highlight is the LED lights, illuminated front grille, large wheels and several interior details such as: an exclusive 55-inch digital screen with electronic blinds that allow passengers to watch videos without blocking the driver's view.
The Celestiq also has an interior covered in red leather, an adjustable panoramic roof due to "suspended particle device" technology, making it very clear that royalty or a member of Forbes will be the vehicle's target audience.
“We reconsider all the aspects that immerse the consumer, all their senses. Things that create a genuine connection to the vehicle,” said designer Laetitia Lopez. According to Lopez, it is important that wood, leather and everything else be authentic, without imitations.
The vehicle's price is estimated at $300,000, or R$1.65 million.
