Meet the Google Pixel Watch
Designed to be a direct competitor to the Apple Watch, Google's first smartwatch is now available in the US.
Announced as Google's first watch, the Pixel Watch was launched on the last day (13) of October in the United States. Crafted from recyclable stainless steel and Corning Gorilla Glass, the model features a Wear OS operating system, a 1.6-inch 3D screen, a circular design, and wireless charging.
The brand has not yet confirmed the presence of wireless charger support, but according to some information, the smartwatch can be charged by placing it on a compatible device (such as a smartphone).
With an AMOLED 320 ppi screen, up to 1,000 nits of brightness and anti-scratch technology, the Pixel Watch supports several Google apps such as Home, Assistant and Wallet (for contactless payments).
In addition, it has 20 bracelet options, including leather, fabrics and soon metal. The housing is available in silver, gold and black. Another interesting detail is the 5 ATM water resistance, being able to withstand up to 50 meters of depth. Other features include a diameter of 41 mm, a thickness of 12.3 mm and a weight of 36 g.
Designed to record information like heart rate, workout modes and sleep tracking, it's also integrated with the Fitbit ecosystem - checking activities to monitor your progress.
As for the battery, Google guarantees that the watch can last a full day without a single charge. Its component comes with a capacity of 292 mAh and charging by USB-C, reaching 50% of the recharge in less than 30 minutes in the socket. Connectivity includes 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, NFC and GPS. There is no 5G compatibility.
Still without a date of arrival in Brazil, the novelty is already on pre-sale in the United States in the following values: Pixel Watch with Wi-Fi: US$349.99, Pixel Watch with Wi-Fi and LTE: US$399.99. Still no arrival date in Brazil.
