New Kawasaki 'H2' powered by hydrogen
The Kawasaki brand has finally revealed more details of the 'H2', the superbike powered by hydrogen.
Exploring the possibility of using liquid hydrogen as fuel for some time, Kawasaki first showed the prototype of the H2 Hydrogen in 2022 at EICMA, now the brand has revealed more details, in addition to a video of the novelty.
Among many searches for eco compatible engines is hydrogen, which Kawasaki has been exploring. Mechanically, it is very similar to an internal combustion engine, based on the supercharged unit of the Ninja H2, already equipped with the compressor, which has now been combined with an injection system for gas. As liquid hydrogen must be kept in very high compression and transported safely, this prototype uses five small cartridges of the product, in one of the two side bags, ensuring greater protection.
So far this is the information that is coming little by little about the novelty. Highlight for the use of blue color in some details such as: brake caliper, engine head, end of the silencer - to reinforce even more about clean energy.
Is this the way to the fuels of the future?
