Haval H6 was the best-selling hybrid car

Leading the fourth month in this position, GWM Haval H6 was the best-selling hybrid car in Brazil in September.

Consolidating its position as leader in the hybrid car market for the fourth consecutive month, GWM (Great Wall Motors) continues to win over Brazilian consumers. The Chinese manufacturer has already reached the milestone of 5,640 models delivered to customers in 2023, with a notable highlight of 1,307 units of the Haval H6 sold in September, which represented 15.4% market share.

Launched in 2011, the Haval H6 is now in its second generation and shares the same platform that achieved a 5-star rating in the China NCap crash test. The brand has 65 points of sale, including shopping malls and dealerships, 27 regional Distribution Centers and physical stores. 

“When analyzing the numbers, it is safe to say that the sales volume of electrified vehicles grew substantially this year due to the arrival of GWM in the Brazilian market. And now, with the launch of our 100% electric hatch Ora 03, there will undoubtedly be another significant jump in sales in this segment”, says Oswaldo Ramos, CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) at GWM Brasil. 

At the end of 2021, GWM acquired the former Mercedes-Benz factory in Iracemápolis-SP and is preparing to start production of the Haval H6, scheduled for next year. Meanwhile, the model is being imported from China to the Brazilian market.

The Haval H6 arrived in Brazil in three versions, all with hybrid engines, with prices starting at R$214,000, which makes it very competitive in the medium SUV segment.

Two of these versions are PHEV, with two electric motors working together with a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine, generating a total power of 393 hp and a torque of 77.7 kgf.m, with four-wheel drive and a range of 170 km in all-electric mode.

The list of equipment is comprehensive and the same in all versions, including items such as electric steering, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, multimedia center with 12.3-inch Full-HD screen and wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, adaptive cruise control (ACC) with Stop & Go function, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian, bicycle and motorcycle detection, rear cross-traffic alert and automatic braking.

It also has blind spot warning, lane keeping and centering assistant, rear collision alert, traffic sign recognition, parking assistant for parallel and perpendicular spaces, traction control (TCS), hill start assistant (HSA). ), tire pressure monitoring (TPM) and anti-rollover system.
