How about opting for a healthier routine? Here are five simple changes men can make to improve their health and well-being.

Often with the rush of the day, we leave our health aside and when we realize it, it may be too late. But, some small changes can have a big impact, especially when we talk about men's health. We have listed 5 habits for you to include in your routine and improve your general health and well-being.
1 - Adopt a balanced diet

A balanced diet is the basis for good health. Men should strive to include a variety of foods in their diet, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats. Reducing your intake of processed foods high in sugar and saturated fats can help prevent a range of health problems, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity.
2 - Stay active

Regular exercise not only helps you maintain a healthy weight, but it also improves cardiovascular health, strengthens bones, increases energy and improves mood. It is ideal for adult men to practice at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, such as walking, running, swimming or cycling. Additionally, strength training, such as lifting weights, is important for maintaining muscle mass and bone health.
3 - Get enough sleep

Sleep quality plays an important role in men's health. Lack of sleep can increase your risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and depression. Men should try to get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night and create a relaxing bedtime routine, such as avoiding electronic devices and bright lights.
4 - Get routine exams

Regular medical checkups are essential for detecting health problems early, when they are easier to treat. Men should always have routine exams, such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose and cancer screenings, such as prostate and testicles.
5 - Reduce stress
Chronic stress can have a major impact on men's health, contributing to problems such as high blood pressure, heart problems, sleep disorders and depression. Finding healthy ways to deal with stress, such as practicing meditation, yoga, breathing exercises, or relaxing hobbies, can help improve mental and physical health.
