Launched on July 5, 1946, by Frenchman Louis Réard, the bikini was the starting point for the sexual revolution and women’s liberation. Since then, the piece has been the talk of the town and was even banned in Brazil during the 1960s, but was once again accepted on the beaches in the 1970s. Over the years, it has become increasingly smaller and more daring, just the way we like it!
