Audi A5: Elegance and power redefined
OThe German sedan that arrives to replace the A4 brings a sportier and more modern approach, with cutting-edge technology and a renewed design.

The luxury car world is about to gain a new protagonist in Brazil. Audi has just confirmed the arrival of its new A5, which brings an interesting strategic novelty: it replaces the traditional A4 as the direct rival of the BMW 3 Series in the national market.
In a move that reorganizes its premium sedan lineup, the German automaker has decided that the A5 will now occupy the space previously allocated to the A4. Meanwhile, the A5's former position will be filled by the combustion-engined A7 and the all-electric A6 e-tron.
The decision makes sense when we understand that Audi is optimizing its portfolio. The old A4 and A5 occupied very similar market shares, and the brand saw the perfect opportunity to unify both into an even more attractive and competitive proposition.
The new A5 has not only changed its strategic status, but has also grown physically. Compared to the A4 it replaces, the saloon has gained 6 cm in length (now 4.82 m), 2 cm in width (1.86 m), 2 cm in height (1.46 m) and an impressive 8 cm in the wheelbase (2.90 m). Only the trunk has shrunk slightly, now offering 445 liters.
Under the hood, we find the efficient 2.0 turbo TFSI engine that delivers a robust 272 hp of power and 40.5 kgfm of torque – the same unit that equips the Volkswagen Tiguan. The seven-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission works in conjunction with permanent all-wheel drive, ensuring performance and safety in any situation.

The new Premium Combustion Platform (PPC) is the basis that allows the A5 to offer an even more advanced technological package than its predecessor. The new A5 has abandoned the brand's characteristic sobriety to embrace a bolder, sportier look, clearly inspired by the Q6 e-tron SUV. The more aggressive lines, complemented by the imposing air intakes in the bumper, give the sedan a youthful and modern personality.

Inside, the A5 does not disappoint with its 14.5-inch multimedia center and 11.9-inch digital instrument panel with OLED technology. The new interface layout promises an even more intuitive and sophisticated experience.

As is Audi tradition, we expect a variety of interior trim options, from the more conservative in dark tones to the sporty S-Line package with red stitching and exclusive badges.

The first units of the new Audi A5 will arrive in Brazil in September. Although prices have not yet been announced, one thing is certain: the German sedan is here to shake up the premium segment and show that Audi continues to be synonymous with sophistication, technology and performance.
