Free will
This Bella Club article exists for a few years now. And I get extremelly happy with the return I receive through e-mails and comments. Of course not all of them say nice things about my writing, and some make me take deep breaths and try to get the best out of it. The idea of these articles is to talk about something which pleases most of you, so the vast majority identifies with the things I say. For being very personal, What Women Want is based on my own experiences with life, friends, lovers, pain and joy. Maybe the correct thing instead of criticizing would be to try and understand that many people see themselves in my texts. You might not see yourself in such situations, but many certainly do.
It is so good to have free will in life! In everything. At work we usually learn we have to respond to a certain hierarchy, and from there we follow, trying to reach the top of the pyramid so one day we are able to follow our own rules and instincts. In love we learn we have to give in sometimes, that love life is made of exchanges. And that goes to everything surrounding us.
Once our teen days are over, adult life brings a routine filled with expectations. After all, people keep saying you gotta be someone in life, you gotta have a job which pays your bills and pleases you as a person and as a professional, you gotta live a stable relationship, you gotta have a family and show the world you are a mentally balanced person. It is tough work, I tell you! And many people make it even harder because they do not respect each other´s free will. Better yet, they go from place to place thinking they can do whatever they want to do – with their own free will. They do not build anything, emotionally nor financially. It is as if life was about to end and they had to do everything and anything they like, no matter if someone is bottered or hassled by it.
Let´s face it. You don´t need to be that radical a person. You just gotta evaluate and think about its consequences. We cannot go about doing whatever we feel like doing. And I gotta say to you that I don´t write to you all I would like to write about here. Of course being sincere is great, but politeness and respect are much better than sincerity alone. I try to please at least half of my readers – since pleasing all is pratically impossible.
Everything extreme is bad in any aspects of our lives. Living a few crazy things among so many obligations and routine is healthy, of course. Doing something radical like bungee jumping, saying good-bye to that boring hair-do, getting a tattoo are okay. Doing things that harm no one is awesome and totally worth it. Go ahead and do it, just see if you are not harming people without even noticing. Go and do some crazy stuff. It is much easier to go back to reality later feeling braver and relaxed.
What I am trying to tell you here is that writing to you every month is extremelly pleasurable! And everything I get back from this, no matter if you are criticizing me or sending me a nice pat of the back, is worth it. It is part of my learning to fall down and getting back up. And I hope always being able to share my experiences with you, as much as I hope to always get your feedback about it. Now that the year has actually started, there is nothing best than thinking about life as a whole, planning not only what seems easy to reach, but also the things you are afraid of doing and that will bring something new and exciting to your days. Something which, at the same time, will bring you freedom and responsibility.
