Minimalist attitudes

The idea of minimalism doesn’t only affect the fashion world. Lately, we have seen many minimalist behavioral manifestations, especially when we’re dealing with lifestyle, relationships and health. If you think about it, they’re all positive in their own way, since these are actions that have leading a lighter life as purpose, excess-free.
It’s easy to see that the minimalist lifestyle is all about living a life which is free from material hassle. Less attachment to stuff, less excess related to crazy shopping, more value to the money you invest. Quite a great concept, if you think about it.
After all, as the minimalists say, we actually don’t need most of the things we have or want to have. Take a look around you and try to notice the things you have. Which of them do you actually need or use? Once you start observing, you’ll see there’s a bunch of stuff sitting there for ages.
With the excessive use of the social media, even relationships got into this minimalist style. Profiles that used to have loads of friends and followers gave way to quality instead of quantity, forming a kind of relationship based on real, tangible values. Adultery, abusive relationships and fake friendships became a huge no-no (finally). Profiles were deleted, followers were blocked, comments were ignored, and life has suddenly gotten more real.
Health matters have also adhered to the idea of minimalism. People are paying more attention to the results of their actions - including excesses of fast food, alcohol, sugar and couch time. Food was rethought, organics got into the spotlight, slow eating is now a thing. People have been living longer and healthier, people have been exercising more often, all as a result of an important lifestyle turn.
No matter what kind of minimalism you adopt, run away from anything too radical. Do it gradually, place reachable goals, make it pleasurable, and never forget that, no matter what you do, it must do you good.
