Value x Price

value-x-price
There is a big difference between price and value. But not everyone knows it. Actually, not everyone wants to be aware of it! Price is related to the amount we pay for something, the monetary amount that something is related to, the direct exchange. But value is quite different and it is important to remember that!

In order to calculate the value of something, we need to know how much and how it was planned. The value is closely linked to the design, to the quality, to the initial concept. The value can be calculated so that something very simple is worth a lot, or something more complex does not have great values.  It is necessary to understand that a chain of parameters is related.

Your family, for example. What value does it have? What memories are related to it that make it so valuable? How much love is involved? How much did your parents invest in you? How many nights did you not sleep out of worry about an illness, or when you were a teenager and go out with friends to a party? How much effort did your parents make to invest in your graduation? It is a very high amount that we pay to have a family!

Now think about your profession, your work. How much did you invest in study time? When you paid for college, even more if you paid every penny of your degree, having to work to pay for your studies. And now you are sitting there, at your workplace thinking about what you have already invested in your career (or not) to think about the value of your work, the price you charge for it.

So you can monetize a job, but find it difficult to put values into feelings and relationships? Wouldn't time and intensity be parameters for building values? What parameters are you using to evaluate your relationships: loving, friendships, as a boss, as an employee? So is it only fair for you to analyze and the other side to accept your values?

How many questions! How many doubts generate values and their relationships in our lives. And how many people leave behind relationships built with strong values for something momentary and “cheap”, and here the literal meaning of this word fits. After all, cheap is everything that doesn't have real value, that cost little and cannot last long. Because cheap is the opposite of what was made to last, to be truly fulfilling. And we usually put a price on only the things we buy at the supermarket!
