One more round of disagreements

Conflict is knocking at our doors! By the way, if it hasn't hit yet, it's late. On the eve of the elections, we are going to get into more arguments. And why bring this subject up here? Because conflicts end up being inserted in our daily lives, even in our closest relationships (love, friends, work, family).
It's such a thing to be angry with people for no reason, because of political idealism, without measure! . Family Whatsapp groups have already started to heat up, members leaving, cursing. It is unbelievable that relationships are so fragile in the face of conflicts around us! Friends who stop being friends, relationships that fall apart, children and parents who break up with them.
If we stop to think about it, the word democracy has no value in its true sense. “political system in which citizens elect their leaders through periodic elections”, that's what the dictionary says. But in the world in general, we are far from a true democracy, in which respect for the opinions and choices of others entitles us to offense, injury, violence, etc.
Today during lunch, in a typical restaurant in the city where I live, we were talking about the main candidates for the presidency, in a fun and relaxed way, my family members and I. We noticed a man with his family next door, annoyed and irritated by the way we were conducting ourselves, who quickly finished his meal to leave. There was no argument. However, we know that many conflicts that end in tragedies start like that.
Losing admiration for someone is something serious, which wears down a relationship, destroying feelings that sometimes take years to build. And breaking up a relationship because of passing idealisms (because events pass and everything calms down) is a bit radical. There are people who have no control in the face of conflict situations that could be peaceful, that could end up in laughter and a fraternal hug or a nice kiss. Fighting (seriously) over elections, don't you think it's an exaggeration? Is it not possible to accept and continue “loving thy neighbor” even if he doesn't agree with you? I hope I'm not wrong...
