For more style, hats!
Even in times during which hats and caps aren’t part of men’s official dress code anymore, sometimes all guys want is an accessory to make the difference in a special occasion. Some of the more stylish men use hats and caps to define the way they dress.
The sporty ones are into baseball caps, and the younger ones go for beanies. No matter what you wear on your head, men’s fashion maintains the classic models year after year, wavering between colors and flaps’ size.
Berets are easier to wear without making mistakes. They go with all face shapes, they can be discrete with their short flaps, they can present themselves with no flaps at all. Usually lined and made with warm fabrics, the berets have been associated with older people, but are currently seen in looks of younger men. Plaid berets are the most traditional ones, but if you don’t actually know how to wear them, go for the plain ones.
Another option, the wide-brim hats were known for being an accessory worn with suits. They had their gold era with the gangsters, and are now back, made with felt, wood, straw and tweed. The Al Capone model is also stylish, and can be worn in a mix – not necessarily with suits, but also combined with jeans and sneakers.
Now one of men’s most important accessories is definitely the baseball cap. In winter, the ones made of leather, suede and velvet are great for keeping warm, whereas in summer the lighter versions are useful when it comes to protecting the head and face from the sun. Always linked to the image of younger men, the caps are more restricted to informal clothing.
