The shirt is the most traditional piece of clothing of men’s closet. Worn with suit, tie, and several collar styles. But who’s said it needs to be so serious, after all? Fashion has brought more festive versions of it, lighter, perfect for loosening up a bit.

Tropical prints are mandatory during the Summer, even though some of them only became more evident from last year on. They appear more elaborate, even sophisticated, and are no longer to be seen around the beach. The high end trend is all over the city!

- Printed linen shirt: a classic if it’s plain and in lighter colors such as blue, salmon, and white. But the idea here is to wear linen with floral prints, also in neutral tones like white and grey, or white and pink. It can be combined with jeans or serge (shorts or trousers). A good option for cool, daily activities.

- Pineapple print: it has been considered bad taste for decorating the house, but it is also the currently fashion highlight when you’re looking for something fancier. There are pineapples everywhere: closets, decorations, utensils, notebooks, purses, bags. Oh, and of course, shirts!

- Dark background floral shirts: black, navy or dark grey, strong backgrounds and flowers have never been more present. Shirts with such prints can be worn over the basic white tee, and you don’t even have to button them up if you don’t want to. Botanical prints have also been seen around quite a lot.

- Fluorescent floral prints: here’s another champion! Go for fluorescent prints over dark backgrounds. Quite modern, these are!

- Thick-striped shirts: go for vertical, colorful, pattern-less stripes. Contrasts such as yellow and navy or yellow and purple are trendy.
