Summer 2021 trends
Although we are close to an atypical summer this year, we cannot deny that desire (and curiosity) to know which trends will be on the rise in the hottest days of the 2021 season. We do not yet know what those hot days will be like, due to the isolation restrictions, but we keep looking for style in summer trends.
Some trends are small oscillations in winter fashion, clearly adjusted to the heat, but others are new and bring that fresh and curious moment to wear something new and, perhaps, challenging that we are not used to. So let's see what summer 2021 holds for men's fashion!
For those who have not joined the regatta outside the gym, here is some information: longfit regatta is a trend for this summer! More elongated, in different types of fabric (such as cotton, dry fit), the race is no longer restricted to the gym, being able to compose more casual and stylish looks. Some versions are not so dug in the sleeve pocket, looking like a cut T-shirt, a model preferred by those who will still risk wearing a tank top!
Oversized modeling has been a recurring feature in men's fashion and appears in the summer again. It is important to remember that broader modeling is not the same as buying clothes with a larger number, giving the impression that you have borrowed a piece. Oversized pieces are made to look large, but with an appropriate size. Shirts are the trend's strongest car, and very welcome in mid-season, overlaid with t-shirts.
The pockets are trending again this summer and now appear even more. The cargo style, that utility that values pockets in trousers, shorts and jackets also continues, but now the pockets appear in more bold pieces, like basic T-shirts. Both the sports brands and the more conceptual ones bet on the trend and the pockets appear on the chest of the shirt, on the sides of shirts, in shorts of lighter fabrics.
Minimalist tailoring remains firm and strong. Mixing basic pieces with pants, blazer and tailored tailoring shorts, the idea is to have more lightness, with neutral colors like gray, beige and more nude tones, navy blue and black. Tennis with tailoring is already on the basic list and continues to bet on sports models to compose a more modern production.
The shorter and very colorful beach shorts give the air of grace again. It was a strong trend in 2020 and continues for another summer. Striking and strong colors such as pink rose, neon tones for the plain and floral and geometric prints (another trend for summer 2021) for the printed models.
Some more trends for summer 2021: the fabrics stained in techniques such as tie-dye and deep dye continue, despite appearing in winter fashion (for many it is past and past the trend time); Portuguese style shirts (Henley model) those without collars, but with buttons on the neckline; the unique side stripes in the pants (slide strap pants) still appear, making the clothes more sporty in jogger models, jeans and even tailoring. Now place your bets and enjoy sunny days in style!
