If there's one thing that's certain about fashion, it's that trends are cyclical and come back. To the joy of some and the sadness of others. But with today's democracy when it comes to dressing, it won't be a problem to give a new meaning to past trends. Those who don't want to wear them will have an infinite number of other trends and styles to call their own.
The colors for the next season in men's fashion shift towards earthier and less loud tones. Off white (a kind of light beige, as if it were a shade of ice cream) is one of our summer favorites. An elegant color that behaves very well with any other color, even white. Even the mix of white and off-white is a strong focus in men's fashion, with a style of traditional and minimalist pieces, such as high-waisted pants and vertical striped shirts.
A classic duo resurfaces in fashion: linen and earthy tones. Those colors with a natural feel, such as brown, beige, shades of green from dry and opaque leaves, blend very well with linen, one of the noblest fabrics. Linen sets, with shorts and a short-sleeved shirt, combined with a basic t-shirt or tank top underneath will be sure bets for an elegant summer. Linen dress shirts are timeless pieces and generally some men's fashion brands produce them every year at this time, so more traditional brands or those that focus on trends may have good purchasing options. But prepare your wallet, pure linen (after all, there is mixed linen too) is a natural and more expensive fabric. If well cared for and washed, a piece will last a lifetime!
And speaking of shorts, they appear more waisted and elongated (not so short). Tailored shorts, with that cut suit style that was fashionable in the 90s, are back. Combined with t-shirts and shirts, it takes on a younger look in light, light fabrics and some more modern prints. For those who prefer more traditional fashion, neutral shades of black, beige and off-white are good choices for summer.
Textures are also a trend: terry fabrics, lighter knits, openwork fabrics and embroidery. The construction of textures and layers in neutral colors transforms the clothing into something different. T-shirts in textured fabrics take on a more elegant look and are even incorporated into corporate and casual looks, losing the idea of a basic, informal t-shirt.
The 2000s resurfaced in some trends also in men's fashion (it's very strong in women's fashion!). Metallic pieces, such as windbreaker jackets and padded vests are examples of this trend, in addition to sports sneakers that had colorful and visible springs and shock absorbers. Larger t-shirts, with striking prints, in a style that is half grunge, half rapper, which doesn't always appeal to today's men. However, some pieces will have good visibility, just choose something that matches your personal style.
