Formula 1 Trend

Anyone over forty knows that Sundays in Brazil in the 1990s were marked by cheering and anticipation for Formula 1 races on television. And all the happiness and cheering revolved around the great world idol of the racetrack who was incredibly proud to be Brazilian: Ayrton Senna.
Thirty years after the premature departure of our greatest champion, Formula 1, and of course, Senna, are in the trend spots. The sport, which is not only elitist, but has its own clothing and related brands, has been appearing quite a bit in fashion, making even the younger generations fall in love with Formula 1-style pieces.
Sneakers with light soles, like driving slippers, have been in the shop windows for about two years. Although they have never left the production lines, they have appeared in recent seasons as trends and bets by brands such as Puma, Adidas and Reebok. The famous racing boots, which were huge hits in the early 2000s, have been updated and arrived with the same style, the same colors, creating a very vintage aura on the feet.
The drivers are going from being track celebrities to gaining business, with partnerships with luxury brands, such as Lewis Hamilton's with Louis Vuitton, New Era (a cap brand) that, in partnership with McLaren, launched a cap in honor of the driver Ayrton Senna, and even the Lec ice cream brand of the driver Charles Leclerc, in partnership with an Italian company specialized in ice cream, is causing a stir. After all, Leclerc has already ventured into music, is a successful driver and his ice cream brand has a modern concept that is pleasing everyone, due to its design and flavor, of course!
Puma has reissued some of its classics, including the famous Speed Cat Archive, which was famous in the classic racing colors of red, white, black and flag green and has now been revamped and comes in Navy blue and Coffee brown. Adidas, which had a major impact on the brand with the rise of its Samba model, continues to follow the trend of sneakers and is embracing the track vibe by launching more models in line with this trend.
Evidence of the trend is everywhere: this year we will be able to watch the Netflix series about the life and career of Ayrton Senna, with Brazilian actors, to continue honoring the legacy of one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers. And after the launch, we will certainly come across more fashion and consumption inspired by the tracks and speed drivers. So keep your radar sharp for the sport, because soon forgotten pieces, such as the polo shirt and ankle boots, will be back in the shop windows.
